Gene wasn't dehydrated which surprises me: by report he had severe medical issues and she was taking care of him til she passed a week or so before he did.

How did a guy with advanced Alzheimers manage to stay hydrated?

do you know it was "advanced"? if they have what happened right, it was, who else would basically forget he had a wife, that someone was taking care of him, and not go looking for her?

He also had sever hear issues.

Hell, the old boy was simply worn out...what was he, 95?

Yes, he had a servere case of Alzheimers, she had been caring for him apparently and when she died I assume he lacked the ability to clean or care for himself...and yet he wasn't dehydrated although he outlived her by one week.

Odd, that...

he was ambulatory, so he would have to be far gone sure enough to not remember how to get water from a faucet

not impossible, though, I have familiarity with Alzheimer's [my mother], and in the end they forget how to do everything bar none.

I remember when I visited my parents, and took my dad for a walk once, and everything was okay for a bit, but I got a little ahead of him. Turned around when I noticed he wasn’t beside me and he was just staring into space. He lived about another year.

Charles Manson, had a son named after him, Charles Manson Jr.

You guessed right —he changed his name.

Many years ago there was a restaurant in Gulfport or Biloxi named Adolph's. They served the best crab au gratin that I have ever had.

Matthew Piercey, 48, admitted Thursday to charges of wire fraud, money laundering, and witness tampering—nearly two years after his now-infamous attempt to flee the FBI using a Yamaha 350Li submersible in Lake Shasta.

Back in November 2020, Piercey ditched his pickup truck at the water’s edge and dove in with what looked like something out of a low-budget Bond film. He stayed submerged for nearly 30 minutes, with agents watching bubbles float to the surface before he eventually reemerged and was arrested—freezing, soaked, and very much caught.

According to prosecutors, the stunt was the final chapter in a five-year con where Piercey convinced investors to sink millions into his companies—Family Wealth Legacy and Zolla—by claiming he had access to a proprietary algorithm called the “Upvesting Fund.” It promised high-speed, high-tech trading returns. In reality, the fund never existed.

“Many invested their life savings…not knowing that the claim of guaranteed returns were the empty promises of a Ponzi scheme,” FBI Special Agent in Charge Sid Patel said in a press release.

Why would he try and escape by diving into a lake? I mean, unless there's a river or canal or something else, there's no way out. That's my it's called a "lake".

Just goes to show, criminals are stupid.
