Electoral college helped neutralize the power of one person one vote. Even assuming a city folk might not understand the needs of a small rural farmer in another state it unfairly assumes he won't learn by experience that approving certain legislative actions against farmers directly affects his life also. It stupidly assumes he'll keep voting against farm needs and never realize why the food supply is suffering or some other untoward result. In fact, getting rid of the electoral college might wizen people up to how their vote works across all the states. Living in an urban area, maybe I might need to worry about some legislation in Nebraska, because I can finally see how it mattered when we get it completely wrong. EC is needed. It keeps a few populated areas from being able to run over the interests of the minority. Walz is just upset that the Democrat Party has to appeal to the entire nation to win and not just major populated areas. I mean, even Heels Up Harris said she did not agree with him. I like that one, C-BS. :) They've been interfering for a long time. It's interesting now though because of internet maturity. Independent thinkers publishing info outside of their control. They can't control the narrative anymore like they did since Walter Cronkite. It frustrates the establishment so much, they have to compensate by more and more deception. I'm positive they'll begin to arrest folks. Like posting offensive memes. :) Anyone that disagrees with the covert narrative, they'll arrest, if not now, eventually. The Constitution is almost obsolete already. One more fix cycle and that's it. |
