The medical community is mostly part of the Mockingbird.

It got taken over years ago (Rockefeller).

So of course if you oppose the Mockingbird, you'll mostly likely be attacked in one way or another.

For example, RJK Jr. and MAHA.

Folks are finding out how corrupt the medical system is.

Big bucks in military operations and medicine, etc.

Both are ways to take cash out of the Treasury.

And they just tack it on the credit card, like it's all their money.

There are lots of "highlight" films of the various networks election night coverage, showing them deflate as the night goes on. But in watching flashbacks it is simply amazing how many of them thought one bad joke that fell flat not even one Trump made was going to turn the whole thing.

Watching the review of CBC right now, they are nothing but a duplicate of C-BS and PMSDNC here.

President Ronald Reagan nominated Sandra Day O'Connor to the Supreme Court in 1981, making her the first woman to serve as a U.S. Supreme Court justice. O'Connor served from 1981 until 2006.

O'Connor's appointment was a fulfillment of Reagan's campaign promise to appoint the first female justice

Then explain why you have a problem with DEI if it isn't about qualifications. What is it you're objecting to?

I object to the FACT that no qualified white males COULD HAVE BEEN considered for the VP spot.

Just as I would have objected if no qualified black females COULD HAVE BEEN considered for the VP spot.

I object to race and/or gender being a factor in deciding if someone is qualified for a position. If you think about it, race and gender were the ONLY specific qualifications we were aware of in the selection process.

You know I like the back and forth I have with you and the other Democrat leaning forum members. I just can’t fathom how ANYONE can argue against my point on this one?

Edit…. I saw your Reagan/O’Connor post. I would be against making such a promise. I’d like to hear the exact words he used.

The VP has always been-up until Kamala and perhaps Charles Curtis always been white males. I see nothing wrong with choosing a qualified non-white or non-male. And I dare anyone to say Kamala's credentials rendered her unqualified.

And I certainly hope SooPoo doesn;t think white males should be top of the list always.

As for Reagan's exact quote, a quick google search-which Soopoo is more than capable of performing-yields the following:

"'I am announcing today that one of the first Supreme Court vacancies in my administration will be filled by the most qualified woman I can possibly find, one who meets the high standards I will demand for all court appointments,'" Reagan told reporters midway through a speech that began with him declaring that it was untrue that he was '"somehow opposed to full and equal opportunities for women in America.'" -October15, 1980

You are obfuscating. I AGREE that there is nothing wrong with choosing a non white or non male qualified candidate. I just object to making being non white and non male a REQUIREMENT for the position, as Biden clearly stated. Had he been smart (no laughing please) and just picked her without the pre announcement that he was picking a black woman all we would have to complain about is all of her policies we hate. But it was Biden himself who made her a ‘DEI hire’.

I would take issue with Reagan in his elimination of male candidates as well, for the same reason.

Did you vote for him in 1980? Did you vote for him in 1984?

I think I’ve told this story before here. In 1980 I voted for John Anderson. Solely for the reason that a friend was a big supporter of his (I was in college) and said he needed to get 5% of the vote to meet some financial threshold. (He did). I don’t think I became particularly interested in politics until the 1990’s, when I started meeting State Assemblymen and Senators about issues specific to Anesthesiology. By the late 90’s I became involved on the national level doing basically the same thing.

I do not remember voting in 1984.

Interestingly, what I did would make it ‘look’ like I was a lobbyist. Apparently I was told I was not, as I was a volunteer. So I was just a constituent.
