One of the most vexing issues, legal experts say, is whether states that ban abortions can legally punish women for leaving the state to get an abortion, or punish people who help them secure an out-of-state abortion

This question is urgent because the justices, by overturning Roe, handed states the power to allow or ban abortion, leaving the procedure available only in a patchwork of states. Now, women who live in states without legal abortion might decide to seek the procedure in a state that permits it.

No state has yet enacted a law to ban this travel. But it has been attempted: In Missouri, a bill is pending that would enforce abortion restrictions through civil lawsuits if the abortion is administered outside the state.

Brett Kavanaugh in his Dobbs concurrence stated that states may not prohibit interstate travel for abortion. Do we trust SCOTUS to rule that way in the future? Not these justices.

Unless a person is in the justice system they are free to travel so there is nothing to worry about.

One thing I have to wonder is how all the pro-abortion people on here live with the misogyny of their statements saying women just care about abortion in their decision to vote. Talk about being anti-woman.

How many people lost their shit over being forced to wear a mask? Remember "my body my choice". Telling women they don't have the same right as what these hypocritical fucks were demanding a couple of years ago, may not be number one on the list, but It's top 5.

My personal belief is men who have gone through puberty should not be allowed to participate in a female sport. I believe there should be a separate "open" category for anyone of any gender to participate in.

I remember, and I was one of them. It seems your defense of "my body, my choice" is selective.

Please watch your language on this site, BTW.

Of course, the child is not her body when you get down to it......

I would be content to allow subject matter experts, such as physicians, physiologists, endocrinologists, individual sport authorities, etc make the recommendation to sport governing bodies/federations for a final decision..

Aborting another soul is not free, although a person's will should not be regulated.

It has to be learned.

Sadly, usually the hard way.

Then taught.

There's a way out though.
