I do not take a candidate�s abortion stance into account when I vote. It is not the center of my life like it is yours. I just find the arguments of most pro abortion candidates kind of disturbing.

These laws expand standing to everyone in the state, which of course turns the whole concept of standing on its head. Civil suits from citizens is just a novel enforcement mechanism designed to side step the blatant violation of the constitution. The purpose of these laws is to intimidate people seeking abortion out of state by fear of a lawsuit from any unconnected Texan. Texas passed a state law using the same enforcement mechanism to effectively ban abortion before Roe was repealed. It was never tested in court and soon became irrelevant. I would hope that it would not hold up if challenged in federal court but these days, I can�t be sure.

The mind hungers for that on which it feeds.
