Trump just won the FIFA Peace Prize! Call me ill informed, but I was unaware the supremely crooked organization known as FIFA had a ‘Peace Prize’. I knew they awarded a ‘World Cup’, a ‘Ballon d’Or’, …. but not a ‘Peace Prize’!!!!

The beauty of ‘the economy’ is that each individual can decide for himself how ‘it’s doing’. And then decide for himself how much or how little can be attributed to a specific factor, like Presidential policies, for example. Trump’s recent blatherings about the economy make it clear he knows he’s losing that battle.

I think it’s getting clearer that the Republicans will not hold firm on ending the ACA subsidies. How Trump spins it as his idea to help the average Joe will be fun to watch.

I’m happy with the economy. I’m getting a 2% raise in my SS check, and I think a $5 raise in my pension check. Gas prices are low. And Publix seems to be having better BOGO’s.

Dem bill to extend ACA subsidies doomed to fail. GOP/MAGA bill to provide premium relief direct to consumers doomed to fail. Unless some agreement is reached, we are going to go into the New Year with no subsidies. May the poor and middle income MAGA voters in all those Red and swing states that went for Donny have the days they voted for.

You are happy with the economy because you are part of the population on the upward stroke of the K-shaped economy. Your compatriots in the other 60% on the downward stroke, not so much.
