Explain to me in detail how this military action is "illegal" in light of the War Powers Act of 1973?

I would agree with you, there are lots of illegal uses by many President of the U.S. military. Other illegal actions, does not make this one legal. That being said, that is not my main issue with this war, we all knew Trump would do that.... So, while this is an issue, this is not an issue I focus on...

My main issue with this war is the targeting of civilian infrastructure. It is illegal in its execution.

Also, I am still not sure why we are attacking Iran, the most urgent rationale is nuclear weapons, but we were assured 9 months ago, that they were setback decades so this can't be true. So it is also illegal because there is no valid justification or necessity of urgent defense. Even if Iran was on the verge of getting a Nuke (they were not,) this is not a threat to us.

So yes, it is rare for me to defend the Pope, but the Pope is empirically correct, the War is illegal and it is un-Christian if you base Christian compliant wars on the Just War Theory.

Notice was given on 3/2/26, 60 days is 5/1/26. Iran will cave or be flattened by then.
Barring a rationale that you can articulate that disputes the above, it isn't an "illegal" war until May 2nd.

It is illegal because America is targeting civilian infrastructure intentionally.

If I can show you that an underground munitions factory is supplied electricity by a nearby above ground power plant, which of course also supplies electricity to civilian homes, can I blowup that power plant? Can you blow up the Supreme Leader if he is in the presence of his civilian chef, civilian massage therapist, civilian English tutor?

Try your hardest not to blow up any schools. Try to minimize general civilian damage. But most importantly, try to WIN first.
Just because the other side straps bombs to their children to send them onto buses doesn’t mean there are NO things off limits.

I’m comfortable with the LOW casualty amount so far. This is a war.

I hate all civilian war casualties. With our firepower, if indiscriminate, there could have been hundreds of thousands of deaths. And overall widespread destruction. They have, through their own might and their proxies, bombed civilian centers of Israel. And support Hamas. Need I say more?

You know the things Trump is bragging about attacking. Also, we seemed to have targeted (potentially deliberately,) a girls school when it was in session. Don't conservatives care about protecting young girls? Or is it only related to protecting scoring practices in sports games or whatever?
