In 2004 I was on the Frank Sinatra family forum as a frequent poster and they were talking about Obama all the time for president. How he was so charismatic and gave such good speeches. Too bad he turned out to be such a crappy president.

Being the forensics star is not a qualification for potus. Obama’s problem was he did not spend enough time in the real world.

Meaningless. Look at camel face, who's approval rating went from the mid 30s to the mid 40s overnight just because she got nominated for president. She had done absolutely nothing different than when it was in the 30s except get nominated. Approval ratings are garbage. Obama was a nothing burger president, by his own admission he spent most of his time on the White House basketball court and in the White House bowling alley. Or on one of the 100 vacations that he took.

Approval ratings are fixed like the voting polls.

You're only right in that one data point is well,,, one moment in time on a certain day or week. But this is not about single data points.

But it does show how meaningless the approval rating system is if it can jump that drastically literally overnight when a person does absolutely nothing to deserve it. What's the approval system is, it's a reflection of what the media is saying. It is nothing to do with what the public thinks, it's what the media is telling the public to think. That's what we see in the flawed approval system. This is why after a president has been out of office for a long long time his approval rating generally changes because the media is now silent.
