As a successful person who planned his life well, is your portfolio up more or less than 1000 gallons of Chevron premium today? Just sayin…. Just out of curiosity, you ACTUALLY EVER put 3 gallons into your car? I usually put 10-15 in. Fewer trips to the gas stations…. |

That's less then a month Incredible |

Of course it is. Duh.
I was topping it up, preparing for a long drive. Duh. Let me lay it out for ya...I am not saying I cannot afford it, I am saying the price of gas today should not and would not be this high but for the fat oat attacking Iran. I'm still wealthy, but who knows how much longer that will be the case, given the stupid shit he does running his clown show administration? |

Ok. I agree with you. The likelihood that gas prices would be anywhere near where they are without our attack on Iran and their response approaches zero. I think even Trump admits that! I’ve topped off my gas tank, but I don’t think ever nearly that few gallons! You just must be more anal than I am! Good to know you made more than 1000 gallons of Chevron ultra while sitting on your ass today! |

I do it sometimes I do a lot of driving My next destination is usually 2 to 3 hours away I get crummy MPH due to towing I always top off my tank the day prior to my next tow regardless of how much gas is in the tank It so much easier getting gas without towing. With a topped off tank , I can get to my destination without a refill It can be difficult getting gas when towing depending on the gas station |

Did I say that? If you got that idea you were mistaken. Fact is I haven't bothered to look how much I gained or lost today in my portfolio of myriad investments: I simply thought you asked whether the amount currently invested would be enough to buy 1000 gallons of gas at Chevron. Yes, today for sure but tomorrow? Who knows how bad it will get with a mad man behind the wheel? |

Certainly not me! But seriously…. you and I would have thought with tariffs, wars, alienating allies, destabilizing nations, etc… that the markets would be way down…. And we’d be WRONG. I stand by my guess. That in the slightly up market today you profited more than those 1,000 gallons. It’s easy for me to look at Schwab.com and find out for me. Push a couple buttons. |

But then he and you would have to sell such holdings to buy said 1,000 gallons. |

At my stage of life (retired!) I often have to sell stuff to get the cash needed for life’s expenses. It’s part of the plan! Before you joined I’d post about selling TSLA whenever it went up a boatload, which was quite frequent. It was always an excuse to buy wifey a new purse. In recent years I’ve switched to selling TSM. It’s a bond terapined and I have. |
