There's nothing wrong with any politician simply trading in stocks / equities PROVIDED they dont use any "inside information" to steer them to a particular buy or sell at a particular time.

How can that possibly be enforced? If you have constant advance knowledge of companies about to implode, are you supposed to just not sell your stock? The only way to truly enforce it, is force all elected officials to only be allowed to invest in a completely hands off blind trust, this would be not very popular I suspect.

I'm ok with a retirement fund invested in stocks and bonds managed by an independent professional.
Most of my money is in that type of fund
It's done well
I'm also OK with investing in an index fund
I have money in that as well
I am against a congress person actively trading in individual stocks

You must be mistaken! Our friends here have pointed out 286 things Trump has done to destroy the economy! How would it be that the companies that make up ‘the economy’ are doing so well!?

But Greenland doesn’t like us anymore!
But there are a few skiffs laying mines in the Straight!
But gas prices are nearing all time highs!

Point being Trump won’t ’crash The Market’. Even if it seems like he’s trying…

No problem! Now we can get more money from our stocks and mutual funds when we sell them to pay to put gas in our cars and to heat or cool our homes! Not to mention put meat and potatoes on the table. Still that's not a problem to Dr.SooPoo, who thinks regular consumption of hot dogs is the base for a balanced and nutritious diet!

I did buy a package of Nathan’s Angus dogs. Will try them this week. Forget gas prices! Went to Wegman’s yesterday. Sticker shock!

Not sure what you mean? I’m sure the candidates for House and Senate and Predidency I voted for all LOST. Had the ‘days I voted for’ won we wouldn’t be having any of these problems. President SOOPOO would most likely not attacked Iran. Nor used on again, off again tariffs. Would have required a balanced budget with required national debt cuts.

Etc…

But you guys were too stupid to vote for me and wasted your votes on Kamala.

I didn't see you listed on the ballot, I must have missed it.

Damn...maybe next time.

I would actually vote for you if you ran independent or as a Democrat. I can never vote for a Republican again given the betrayal the GOP has had on democracy.

Even if my wife ran for something as a Republican (which sadly is the party she would choose if she had to be on a ballet for certain local positions,) she would not have my vote on principle.
