Did the geniuses in the administration really not plan for a contingency about Hormuz... They are acting like they have to get ships there days-weeks from now?

It's like they are shocked and unprepared when Iran does exactly what they have been threatening to do everytime an attack is considered the last 20 years.... Maybe, they should have waited to start the attack until the naval resources were in place? It's not like the U.S. was attacked, this could have all been staged before the attack began instead of having to wait for Marines and ships from the other side of the world to arrive....

This is a (lame) effort to build himself an off-ramp: Say " I did all the prep and heavy lifting in this war and now those cissies in Europe can't be bothered to tidy up their own mess* so I said fuck them I'm bringing my boys home."
