It's a simple enough plan: use a third party cargo ship as bait; send a few attack copters up to escort it;Hope that Iran sends a mosquito craft to harass the bait ship; Then 'justifiably eliminate -intend to repeat the same script till Iran has no boats.
Just a small problem: Iran won't fall for it, not once, Not repeatedly.
Iran doesn't need to take the bait, Heck they could just sit back and watch till a soft target pops by. Or they could use unexpected tactics or weapons

We had the hubris to determine who should lead Iran

Does Iran export terror in a way that effects the U.S.? Or does it only effect regional powers?

The biggest terrorist act on the planet after 9/11 is bombing a school full of children when we were never attacked.
110 children dead. 160 to 170 total dead
That's terrorism
Only 8 kids lost their life on 9/11
110 children losing their lives due to US bombs is horrifying
They didn't see it coming. Kids had no idea the US were at war with them. Very 1st day of the war

That is true. If it turns out that the attack on the school was intentional, that would indeed be one of the worst terrorist attacks in history. But, this will not be taught in history books, there are already efforts to cover it up.

Some people are alleging it is. I didn't say it was intentional. I said if it turns out to be.

Even some on the right like Candace Owens and Megyn Kells are saying it is intentional, this is not only a left wing thought.

Candace Owens specifically who is a leading thought leader on the right has a whole theory formulated about how VP Vance and Charlie Kirk's wife designed the attack and tricked Trump that it was a good strike location, for some reason that I can't follow, im sure it involves the Jews and the establishment somewhere, look it up yourself if you don't believe me.

So it is not just the left, mainstream right wing through leaders are saying the same.
