Unfortunately, I gotta agree about the Warmers. They'll stop whining about the weather as soon as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton stop whining about racism. And we all know when that will happen. *rolls eyes*

The sad part is that none of the LIV's can see the Warmers for what they're really worth.

It will soon be functionally impossible to go outside.

That is not some fringe supporter talking, it is a climatologist. Can anyone still take these people seriously?

Not much of a scandal. He was fired by the Institute for Policy Studies, which is a think tank. Most think tanks have a polticial agenda, it doesn't raise eyebrows for think tanks to hire or fire employees who aren't on board with the organization's agenda. If a right-leaning think tank (Heritage or Cato) fired an employee for supporting lefty communist causes, that wouldn't be a scandal, either. For example, the NRA's think tank, the Independence Institute, would be justified for firing an employee who supported draconian bans on guns.

Not calling it a scandal, showing how the statements get more and more outrageous.

It seems that this French comic novel was written in 1982 and concerns a post apocalyptic future caused by climate change.

This French graphic novel, is being adopted by a Korean producer and is mostly in English, with American and British actors. The budget is very modest for this type of film, and the reviews are good. The title has been changed to Snowpiercer.

So, if we had this kind of warming 10,000 years ago, why this time does it just *have* to be man made? Worse yet, why do some people think it can be changed if we try?

The change 12,000 - 10,000 years, according to the record, occurred over 2,000 years at a rate of about .1 degree F per century. And the result of that change was the end of the Ice Age.

By comparison, humans (or nature, so you would believe) is working at a clip of about 4 to 11 degrees Fahrenheit in one century, which is between 40 and 110 faster than what nature did 10,000 years ago (which was caused by a change in the Earth's orbit).
