Is there some reason they can’t put at least a waist high barrier where most people walk? Sliding gate access.

Haven’t been in NYC since childhood.

Also why did the trains have to be located in a hole. Just make people walk up like they do on planes , buses, street cars.

Can’t fix that easily now.

Well like i said, we have all kinds of transportation where you're expected to walk upwards to get on. Not that unusual.

Really, people can get pushed in front of any vehicle on the surface as well. Not gonna worry about it.

Why suspend 665 miles of train track above the city streets when you can put them underground? Today, the subways are like tidal pools where genetic waste material evolves into strange life forms.
