762,000 absentee ballots requested in GA so far, do you think republicans are going to vote mail-in in greater numbers this time?

Republicans will show up to vote. Question is how many people did Democrats dig up?

Why suspend 665 miles of train track above the city streets when you can put them underground? Today, the subways are like tidal pools where genetic waste material evolves into strange life forms.
The cost to put it underground is about ten times as much when there are already existing utility's buried.

Also why did the trains have to be located in a hole. Just make people walk up like they do on planes , buses, street cars.

Can’t fix that easily now.

The Liverpool and Manchester Railway (L&MR) was the first inter-city railway in the world. It opened on 15 September 1830 between the Lancashire towns of Liverpool and Manchester in England.

It was only 6 years later that the first elevated railroad was built.

The London and Greenwich Railway (L&GR) was opened in London between 1836 and 1838. It was the first steam railway in the capital, the first to be built specifically for passengers, and the first entirely elevated railway.

The original "cut and cover" underground railroad opened in 1863

Only 20 miles of the London Underground was built using "cut and cover". The cost of negoting property rights and compensation for lost business was overwhelming and the rest of the Underground was built using "tubes" which didn't disturb the surface.

Building more walkways between buildings might help alleviate some traffic.

It's almost that time of year again. Been watching some package thief videos. I'm tempted to make up my own bait package (for fun of course)

What should be in it? Rotting chicken leftovers seems easy enough and a rock.

So Iran's top Nuclear Scientist was killed by gunmen.

"A professor of physics, Fakhrizadeh is said to have led Project Amad, the alleged covert programme that was established in 1989 to research the potential for building a nuclear bomb. It was shut down in 2003, according to the IAEA, though Mr Netanyahu said the documents retrieved in 2018 showed Fakhrizadeh led a programme which secretly continued Project Amad's work. "

Iran is of course defaulting to blame Israel and America....

Supposedly it's the perfect time for Israel to strike. When we're in between administrations anyone blasting Trump has limited effect when he's leaving and Biden will have had nothing to do with it.

Israel isn't earning any brownie points from Iran anyway, so it's all a wash there.

Interesting, there is a suggestion this is a way Trump can sabotage Biden's attempt to restart the treaty with Iran.

Not as flashy as years back when they came alongside the guy's car with a magnetic briefcase that had a huge bomb, stuck it to the door, then took off on motorcycle. Whoever the Israeli was that did that, the guy had real guts!
