Giving water to voters waiting in line is now a crime in GA

Again you relied on your biased anti-republican news "sources" which again fail to tell the complete truth. If you attempted to do some actual research yourself you would know the facts.

here is the actual Georgia law that was passed

Section 33 is the applicable part and I quote:

SECTION 33.
1868 Said chapter is further amended by revising subsections (a) and (e) of Code
1869 Section 21-2-414, relating to restrictions on campaign activities and public opinion polling
1870 within the vicinity of a polling place, cellular phone use prohibited, prohibition of candidates
1871 from entering certain polling places, and penalty, as follows:
1872 "(a) No person shall solicit votes in any manner or by any means or method, nor shall any
1873 person distribute or display any campaign material, nor shall any person give, offer to give,
1874 or participate in the giving of any money or gifts, including, but not limited to, food and
1875 drink, to an elector, nor shall any person solicit signatures for any petition, nor shall any
1876 person, other than election officials discharging their duties, establish or set up any tables
1877 or booths on any day in which ballots are being cast:
1878 (1) Within 150 feet of the outer edge of any building within which a polling place is
1879 established;
1880 (2) Within any polling place; or
1881 (3) Within 25 feet of any voter standing in line to vote at any polling place.
1882 These restrictions shall not apply to conduct occurring in private offices or areas which
1883 cannot be seen or heard by such electors."
1884 "(e) This Code section shall not be construed to prohibit a poll officer from distributing
1885 materials, as required by law, which are necessary for the purpose of instructing electors
1886 or from distributing materials prepared by the Secretary of State which are designed solely
1887 for the purpose of encouraging voter participation in the election being conducted or from
1888 making available self-service water from an unattended receptacle to an elector waiting in
1889 line to vote."

What defines a “poll officer”?

If normal citizen Gandler (he lives in GA) wants to be a Good Samaritan and distribute bottles of water to people waiting in voting lines, is it legal for him to do so??

Nice try flea.

No. Nobody can distribute any food, water or consumable products to electors within 150 feet or polling stations in GA now.

Though honestly, what offends me even more (not that that aspect is not egregious), is the new ruling for mail-in ballots. Clearly a backlash for the amount of support democrats receive via mail.

Though its actually on the whole a good sign. It shows that Democrats have a consistent majority, and Republicans can only win by tactics to eliminate and invalidate ballots (which is nothing new). But, this level of blatantness is a new level of desperation....
Republicans have few logical arguments that resonate with everyday people, and have to result to changing the rules to retain power in states that by their logic they should be popular in.....

Murders hit a sixteen year high, and carjackings are up 49%, in future State, Washington D.C.

CNN said this one led to an 'accident'.

New York Post

yawn
All cities have crime.
Reality check
I ride my bike all over the country
The bike trail by the river here in Sacramento is fabulous
but
My all time favorite trail is Washington DC and of course its safe
I drive to a subway station
Take my bike on the subway
Get off by the White House
Ride my bike around the monuments to Georgetown
Ride the historic canal tow path north to Silver Springs
Ride over to the northern part of Rock Creek park
Ride through the park , passing the National zoo and arriving back at Georgetown
Ride to Chinatown for lunch and head back to the WH to get back on the subway

Hey Tanko
Do you get out or stay locked up in a bunker?
Do you live with a police scanner?
. Ed... why such a rude post? Because you weren’t the victim of a crime you don’t think it is relevant that crime is soaring in the Democrat run cities? I think it’s relevant. Was just reading an article about the disaster which is Minneapolis as a result of cutting police resources. I was unaware they had a Seattle /Portland style autonomous zone which ambulances refuse to enter. If you live in one of those cities I guess it would be smart to stay locked in a bunker.

If voters still have a choice to vote out or recall their leaders and they are not doing it, than they must be satisfied enough with the way things are. Or not dissatisfied enough to do anything about it.

That's democracy.

Civil war cannonball still could explode

Quote:
"Bomb technicians conducted diagnostics and determined the fusing mechanism was still intact," the fire marshal’s office said.

The homeowner received the cannonball from another family member who had earlier discovered it near the Monocacy National Battlefield. A bomb squad safely transported the cannonball to Beaver Creek Quarry in Hagerstown and conducted an emergency disposal, according to officials.

Which is a good thing. It is a polling place, not a restaurant.

It's not that simple. Many people here do not realize the lines at urban polling centers. They can be quite long even for not popular elections, and with popular elections and COVID precautions making it even slower, it can be far longer than even normal.

If I am in a two-hour line standing outside waiting why should I not be allowed to order food from Uber Eats?

Because it is a polling place, not your living room.
