It would be interesting if they would give at least a short reason of why the boats went down.

In Alaska I was surprised to hear how many boats are found still floating with no one aboard.

I don’t know. But sounds like everything had to end with filling with water. If you have that kind of money to buy something like that, seems someone should sell you some kind of super bilge system to keep it above water until it gets towed in, if possible.

I believe there is a law at least in the US for small boats manufactured here, that even filled to the gunnel with water they are still supposed to float?

That one yacht in your post was I think on it's delivery voyage. That one could have just forgotten to put in the plug drain plug? It takes a lot of water to get them to heal over like that? It was really taking on water bad. You'd think they had tested the bilge system out to make sure it would pump water out? There's been some means of getting water out of sinking boats for a long long time. "there is no more efficient means of removing water from a sinking boat, than a frightened man with a bucket" u/a

Does anyone know why more Republicans don't complain when an area has people who could have had insurance for a particular disaster, but didn't buy it, vs the ones who were covered? That would save the government tons of money over the years.

Not talking about the ones who couldn't afford it.

I didn't see anything at FEMA that disqualifies you from financial assistance if you could have bought insurance but didn't. In fact, people who have adequate insurance are disqualified from FEMA help.

Just a handout to selfish and greedy folks. The good folks paid their loans. Democrats love to cater to the low end.

Statistically a handout to the rich given that college grads earn more than non-grads.

I heard this in the early 1990s. Not manufactured here but sold here. I do not know if larger crafts have to do the same or what the cutoff is.
