Either you misread or I misunderstood. He had the antidote with him. It didn't get used to save him for whatever reason. But it raises the question of what he and any security detail were expecting, and if they expected a nerve agent attack, why they didn't react to it correctly. Or maybe it doesn't actually work? Don't know much about nerve agents, time before uncurable, etc. Never doubt a small group of concerned citizens can change the world; it's the only thing ever has |

It's tricky. You can get killed by the "antidote" if you take it without being exposed to nerve gas. You can also die from the poison while you're trying to determine whether you've been exposed. It's not really an antidote, as it doesn't neutralize the poison gas. Rather it counteracts some of the effects. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

| Fleastiff Member since: Oct 27, 2012 Threads: 62 Posts: 7831 | There was not necessarily any expectation of an attack much less a nerve agent but I'm sure they carry a pre-loaded hypodermic needle with them, just in case. It doesn't mean the security people will react properly. The Secret Service never expects an attack with a nerve agent but their agents are trained with how to recognize and deal with it promptly. I've no idea if this 'reality show stunt' was actually believed but who knows? |
