We have had "consulting" for decades. Yet the illegal aliens keep coming. More guards? We have had more and more. Drones? We got that. What we have not tried is building an actual wall. And by "wall" I mean the kind where you have 2 walls and a "dead zone" in between that you can patrol with agents in a Bronco.

Enough of the talk, build something already! It took the USA just 4 years to win WWII. How long to build a flipping wall?

If the object of wall is to stop illegals, all that has to happen is to jail a few employers and be discerning with "entitlements". The wall is silly. How many semi truck and trailers come across daily from Mexico? Stopping foot traffic, by building a wall wouldn't even be a rounding error. Or how many containers come off ships in L.A,? The wall is a giant waste of money that won't stop illegals who became illegal when their Visa's expired. It does little for National security, just look at those shipping containers, 90% could have nukes inside, or bio weapons, or tons and tons of narcotics.

The 911 hijackers didn't walk here across the Sonoran desert. God doesn't want the wall, the Pope doesn't want the wall and neither do I, it's ugly and I hope if built, that Mexicans steal it and sell it for scrap.

Go to any meat packing plant in the country [6] and 10-33% of the people working there are here illegally, it's not a secret.

What percentage of illegal immigrants sneak across the southern border? What percentage come across legally through a border crossing and overstay a visa? How about fly in? Is there a breakup of the numbers?

We have tried stopping entitlements. Liberal groups sue as soon as the law is passed. Then an activist judge says it is unconstitutional to stop illegal aliens from getting benefits. Please save it about being about Trump's ego. It is about him not wanting to see the USA turned into a third world hell hole swamp, which we are on the way to at this rate.

It will be far more than a "rounding error." It will also help people who live near the border and cannot go about their ranches unarmed for all the illegal alien and drug trafficing going on about their properties. Ditto pipeline and electric ROW workers. Things are very bad down there.

BTW: Shipping containers are checked for nukes, bio, etc in several ways. From verification and sealing before they leave to scanning when they arrive.

I have not seen numbers but would say very few "fly in" as if you come commercial you have to clear customs. Few overstaying visas, they need to get the visa in the first place. Easier to just sneak an unfortified border, or pay a coyote to sneak you in.

I should probably have just googled it myself prior to asking because it took very little effort to find. Not “very few” at all it seems. Approx 45% of illegal immigrants residing in the USA initially entered legally.
