Well he is saying this is "another attack on Christians," despite the fact that it was an attack by a Christian on a different religion that they do not like...

Guns Drugs don't kill people, people kill people.

Just admit if the above is right for guns, it's right for drugs. They don't just jump in your mouth or go into your vein on their own.

People become powerless to resist, to stop the influx of whatever it is they're hooked on.

I'm tempted to say that "Yes, but the person made a conscious choice to do drugs the first time they did them" but I can think of an exception...me.

I didn't intend to take psychedelics the first time I took them: my family had a place at the Jersey shore we stayed at and one summer night while rambling around I met some other teems who invited me to a party: cool.

There I had a sip or two of wine and I observed them passing around some tin foil, wetting their finger, putting it in the pink powder in the foil then putting their finger in their mouth.

I didn't ask what it was.

When it came to me I tried it and it tasted good so I kept doing it, thinking it was like candy.

Nope: person next to me said to the effect "You know that is strawberry mescaline, right?"

oops...inadvertent tripping.

Already considered that. The first snort of cocaine is on the person doing it. It's not the drug.

So you want to ban everything that people can be tricked or misled into using to harm themselves. Also a bad idea.

All I did was point out an exception to the general rule.

Me, I freakin' LOVED doing psychedelics in college, no regrets...but my interest in them was short lived, part of experimentation.

Odds are I would have tried them eventually had I not accidentally taken my first trip at the Jersey shore, but my point is that I certainly did not know it was mescaline when I ingested it, I thought it was candy.

You appeared to be making a counterpoint of they "sort of do" jump in your mouth. I'm just pointing out my issue with that statement, as this is about comparing gun statements gun people make about guns to permit them to proliferate with the guns.

Gun people are always saying it's people's choices are the real problem not the object of their choice.

I'm not a big gun rights supporter if you hadn't guessed. At least the way we do it anyway.
