There is scientific evidence that seems to point towards confirmation of the universe having a beginning.
You are again confusing evidence with "proof".
There you go again, see above.
Sure there is. Are the people trustworthy, consistent, of sane mind? Does the same experience occur over different time periods, cultures, places, and people?
Incorrectly so. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

| petroglyph Member since: Aug 3, 2014 Threads: 25 Posts: 6227 | This post is so incredibly poignant to my experience today, it continues to support my belief in quantum theories. I was stuck in a recliner today for 6 hours receiving a treatment. Thank god there were two rooms and I was not face to face with the 3-4 next to me discussing xtianity. Maybe someone can imagine the paradigm where the man acts like he knows more about bible facts then the she in the discussion. On and on they went, back and forth about drivel and faux facts, about a fable that with all 'their' knowledge also weren't informed that the story was a parable. I would have thought that some organization that purports to pride itself on honesty, would be a little more forthcoming about that. Kind of like, "yeah we knew it was bs, but thought the story might help you understand our pov". These people were absolutely rude, and they didn't realize it [it's their right you know], and they surely didn't care. Not one courteous consideration, not one *** ounce. One of them must have been right and the others wrong and they would not quit arguing chapter and verse. Not for one second did they give a crap about the other sick people trying to receive treatment in peace. I did bring some headphones and tunes, but I couldn't drown them out, even though they were in an attached room. Some relief from the music, but during breaks in between songs, I could here the excruciating chatter from "the Xtians". After a while I had to summon the tech and ask how much longer would they be in the facility. She shook her head understandingly and said, they are almost done. I switched to ear muffs hoping to drown them out enough, that I wouldn't have to listen. It was a little better. When they got up to leave [thank god], the guy glances in my room, and notices I have ear phones on. Prolly didn't occur to him why. Inconsiderate bastards. Nearly made me ill er. It should be a law for them to combine their faiths. After two thousand years and they are all thinking each time that they are the special understanders of "the message". It is gnawing to have to overhear each of them arguing each of their irrelevant points about a book that turns out to be a fairy tale. The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. | petroglyph Member since: Aug 3, 2014 Threads: 25 Posts: 6227 | That would lead me to believe, that anyone killing themselves, couldn't possibly in their right mind, so they get a pass. A person deciding when to end their own suffering deserves the respect, that they made a really tough choice, instead of leaving it up to their family and the medical industry to decide for them. How can it be morally superior, to continue someones suffering and then juice them with enough morphine to cause them to die because the opiates made it to difficult to breathe, versus letting the dying person pick their own time and method? Control freaks. The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. GW |

Means nothing. They were the one church because all the others were put out of business by force, that's a historical fact. That other churches would come was inevitable. At one time Standard Oil produced 95% of the worlds kerosene, they were a monopoly. Does that mean they were the best? They got there the same way the Church became a monopoly, by stomping out the competition. If your argument is your church is the right one because it was first, no wonder it's failing so badly. Hubris and arrogance never out in the end. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

This is the only thing I agree with in your post. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

You don't believe your Church had a monopoly because it forcibly got rid of all other religions? Hell, it tried to get rid of Protestants in the The Religious Wars, particularly the Thirty Years War, which bankrupted half of Europe. You Jesus people should learn to get along. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

| Fleastiff Member since: Oct 27, 2012 Threads: 62 Posts: 7831 | But is there proof of 2000 posts a day or merely evidence of it? Is your belief in 2000, affecting that number? Is 2000 a coincidence or is it prove of events that took place about that number of years ago? Does 2000 have a reference in the Bible? Should other estimates be tolerated? Or must we accept the literal content of your post? Have you tried to tax to death or put to death people in the past who disagreed with that number? |
