Vince Gilligan knows exactly where he's going with this. Just like in BB, he has it all on an outline. I think BB is one of the top 5 shows ever. But it had moments that made me hit mute, and on a 2nd and 3rd viewings, hit FF. Any scene with his witch of a wife, or their teenage kid. Fingers on a blackboard. Any scene with the shoplifter sister, god she was awful. Any long scene with Jessie's empty headed drug buddies. The entire episode with the fly. There are others if I wanted to think about it. We already know how the series ends, unless Vince wants to do something dumb, like an enemy finds Saul and wastes him. So they have a lot of character development to do, which takes time. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

That's Gilligan's trademark. He explains as it goes along. He could even bring back Walter White, scenes that were never on BB. That would be pretty cool. The actor who plays the brother is one of the most sought after on TV. He's never been out of work since he played Lenny of Lenny and Squiggy fame on Laverne and Shirley. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Made myself watch just one episode last night. Started slow, but so did BB. I keep reminding myself even though it is a prequel it is Saul's story and will be different. One odd thing is the cinematography is even different. The look and feel is just so different, not bad just weird. The President is a fink. |
