Thus the Barkley Marathons , a course that includes that same prison
Very few have finished the total course in the allotted 60 hours, five 20 mile loops

Records for 24 hour run are 161.126 miles for women, set by Mami Kudo of Japan in 2011, and 188.590 miles set by Yiannis Kouros in 1997.

So while I believe that very few people can finish, it is not anywhere near the upper limits of human endurance.

fast forwarding through the Skylar and kid scenes helps a lot

There are two plot lines in BB that
have no reason for being there. The
impaired irritating kid, and the new
baby. They add zero to the story line
and are never important in any way.
They just take up space and waste time.
Like the shoplifting sister in law. I FF
thru any scene she's in.

Did you watch the Barkley Marathons doc?
The race is through the woods with hardly any trails and often at night.
The course map is only known 1 day prior to the race.
You don't get a copy of the course map, must transfer it to your own map.
The briar patches will slice up your legs.
No GPS or altimeter allowed, only a map and compass and many get lost
No aid stations.
You are often climbing a mountain or running down a mountain
The documentary is funny
The entry fee is 1.60 and a license plate from home and a flannel shirt
The application process is a secret
The limit is only 40.
They generally get 200 applications.
They always pick one runner way in over their head.
The start can be anywhere from 11pm to 11am
The runners have no idea of the start time.
You get 1 hour notice
Some years it starts at 1am, yup through the woods in the dark with just a flashlight as the briar patches cut up your legs running up or down a mountain.
some years it starts around 9am.
Runners rarely sleep well because it might start around midnight or 3am or 7am ect.
No gun to start, the organizer lights his cig :-) The smell all runners detest.
They play taps when somebody quits.

Walt Jr and the new baby were put there to show the plight Walt was in. I just re-watched some of the first season and did not notice before that Walt was so broke his pool was not in use. Remember he could not afford a hot water heater? Drove an Aztek. That is the reason he got into the business. Without the kid and new baby they would be a DINK family and no reason to cook.

He got into the business to pay for
his cancer treatments and to make
money for his family. The special
needs kid never needed to be part
of the story. If Skyler got pregnant
at the same time Walt found out
about the cancer, and it was their
first kid, it would have been a better
story. All the teen kid did was take
up space and story time. I would have
much rather have seen a story line about
one of the druglords family, than
all those endless scenes with Walt Jr
that had me climbing the walls.

I never cared for Jr, but without him then Walt has far less need to cook. The shoplifting thing for the sister seemed to be to find something to do with her. I want Trump to put Mike in charge of the FBI!

Will Arnett has a new Nfliz show called Flaked.
He wrote, produced, created and stars in it.
That should have been warning enough. It's
supposed to be a drama/comedy.

I watched the first ep, nothing the least bit
funny. Mid 40's buddy show that looks
exactly like Californication, except it's
missing the good writing, the good acting,
and the good story line. Two basically
deadbeat middle aged men who have
no apparent means of income yet always
have money. Their primary goal, I guess,
is having sex with women 15-20 years
younger than them. And oh yeah, as far
as I can tell all the main characters are in
a 12 step program.

It's a nothing show about nothing. The
pilot is supposed to explain things and
make you want more. Nflix seems to be
a place where any kind of drek is aired
and if it sticks to the wall, it gets a second
season. One review I read said he got
thru 5 episodes and still didn't know
what was going on or what the show
was about. That's because the writer
and creator doesn't know either.

Will Arnett is one of those actors who seems to get repeatedly rehired no matter how often his sitcoms fail.

I may begin to watch Sense8, but I fear disappointment.
