The Good , the Bad and the Ugly remains one of my all time favorite movies Italian Director, American actors, Spanish extras Its a masterpiece in my opinion. The music itself is simply fabulous. The rock band Metallica agrees and have been opening their shows with the cemetery scene and the soundtrack This is a documentary about the fake cemetery Sergio Leone had built for the film by the Spanish Army The locals rebuild the cemetery for the films 50th anniversary. Its pretty good and gives a lot of backstory about filming this movie. 7 out of 10 graves Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

Ennio Morricone is still alive and just turned age 90. His score to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is considered one of the most influential soundtracks in history and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Have you seen this version? |

Eastwood's westerns had a huge influence on my generation. We'd go to the drive-in and smoke those same brown cigarillos he smoked and pretend we're as badass as he was. Eastwood created the silent tough guy who solved problems. It's been copied so many times since. Jason Bourne, Riddick, Denzel is even doing it now in his Equalizer movies. Tom Cruise is doing it in the Reacher films. Keanu Reeves, as John Wick. It all started with Clint Eastwood as the no name drifter. We'd never seen anything like it, he became a cult hero overnight.
