I lack mobility to get there and have only reports from intrepid souls who made it thru or around deep water. With the water at one time confirmed at eight feet its unlikely the feral cats survived most cat shelters took in hundreds of cats but lost power and a few lost water too. My indoor cat died quite some time ago and I wish I had been worthy of her. Would have put her on my head if she were still alive when Irma's floods arrived.
Homeless housing is probably overwhelmed but maybe I can get some damaged boat and find a quiet mooring?

That would be great to find some inexpensive houseboat on the intercoastal? Or even some old Yacht. How about Yacht sitting for someone?

When I met my wife, she told me she had been house sitting for 8 years, not having to pay rent anywhere. I didn't know anything about it. Then I found out, she was watching, sitting, pet feeding, picking up mail etc, for up to 8 houses at a time. Anyone around there with a palace, need a relaxed care taker?

I was on several construction projects where I wrangled the night watchman's job in my RV, as a free place to plug in.

Real big thing in FL. If you can do basic handyman stuff you do even better. Getting over the hump to start not the easiest, after that anyone I heard of gets all the business they can handle.

Ancient and doddering mass murderer barely mobile due to gout and diabetes not really able to grasp a hammer much less swing it seeks job as handyman/housesitter.

I think boat squatting might be better some slip rents are only 200.00 a month but there are no stores or libraries nearby much less anyone who might someday drive me to a casino.

I have heard some people buy boats that don't even have engines, just to live aboard.

It's in Pensacola, should be able to get one of those good looking bible thumpin coeds to come by and cook and clean, doing her service work
