Save $2 a day to ride in vehicles you think are unsafe with drivers you think are rude?

London has "real cabs" which are distinctive and black and skilled knowledgeable drivers. It also has minicabs that you can't flag down but have to telephone.
Uber ofcourse you have to phone too.

Knowledgeable doesn't begin to describe a London cabbie. It takes them years of training. They are probably faster than gps to know their way around.

It's the saving and they drop me off
right at the door. Huge hassle getting
from parking lot to terminal, it's half
a mile away. I'll take my chances in the
rolling wrecks some of them drive. It's
only a 10 min ride.

My driver was a very nice middle aged
black lady this afternoon. I asked her
for driver complaints and she gladly
gave me an earful.

The biggest she hears is drivers calling
and asking where you're going, which
I thought was against the rules. If it's
too short for them, they never show
up. Then there are drivers that ask
you before you get in and they take off
if it's too short. She hears all the time
that drivers are mean and 'crotchety',
especially to women passengers. One
guy took a woman to her bank and
refused to wait 3min to take her home
and told her to never call Uber again.

How do these idiots survive the rating
system. They must not. Cab drivers
would never act this way.

We did our part and took several cab rides this week. I really hope they don't go out of business.
