Let's try this another way since we are not getting here. If they are not bigger drinkers then how did they get the reputation? It would have been impossible that someone just decided to slap it on them and it then stick. For that matter, not just the Irish. Why do you think stereotypes stick and where do you propose they come from if they as you imply have no basis in reality?
