and that is perhaps the only recession-proof business out there.

Owning a bar is recession proof. They
prosper during all kinds of economies,
even depressions. People will use any
excuse to drink. I made money hand
over fist during the Carter recession
by owning a bar. If anything, it got
busier.

Some people got it right.

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/11/hillary-clinton-white-women-vote/507422/

consider how one white woman voting for Trump explained her support to New York magazine ahead of the election:

There isn’t any perfect person on the planet. I heard that he said something about groping women, and I’m thinking, Okay, No. 1, I think that’d be great. I like getting groped! I’m heterosexual. I’m a woman, and when a guy gropes me, I get groping on them! I grope them back. Groping is a healthy thing to do. When you’re heterosexual, you grope, okay? It’s a good thing. Try it.

After crunching the numbers even more,
they found two places, NYC and LA County,
gave Hillary the popular vote win. The EC
haters would rather see every election
dictated by two clusters on the coasts, than
have a fair election. The founding fathers
saw this 240 years ago, but people are
still foggy about it today. Amazing.

In those days they knew NYC and Boston
would decide every election. Nothing has
changed except the population centers
have expanded. It's still two places that
would decide every election.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

I think a quick Google search of history of the Electoral College would prove this post from EvenBob to be *gasp* utter nonsense.

Three seconds later I found this:

Yep. Utter nonsense.

Apparently not you, since you whitewashed it out of your little history lesson....

What you are doing now, Bob, is called moving the goalposts.

One state being responsible for her popular vote win wasn't good enough for you, especially considering that 90% of her votes came from outside that state. So you add another state.

She had widespread support across many states. 12 states were decided by 5% or less, counting both wins and losses for Clinton. In other words, she had nearly half of the votes, give or take, in those 12 states.

Even in Texas, she got 43% of the vote. That was 3.9 million votes.

You might even say that those 3.9 million Texas votes gave her the win in the popular vote. I wouldn't say that, though.

I think Wyoming was her worst state by percentage, and even there she got about one vote out of every five.

None of that supports the idea that she was the sort of candidate that the electoral college was supposed to prevent from being elected.

Not me, it's all over the news.

Hillary would probably have lost the popular vote as well if not for all the Russian hacking.
The President is a fink.
