Small heaters like that don't heat much,
you have to have it very close to you
to feel it's effects. The candle heater is
a joke. When he says 'heats the room'
he means it goes from 60 to 63 eventually.
He's a Brit, a 'warm' room to them is
freezing cold to an American.

When I look up that heater Paco it shows it as 120 volt.

Volts and watts are two completely different things.

A watt represents how much energy
you're using, a volt is how much you
have. An amp is flow of current.

A 75 amp 12 volt battery can kill you.
A 30K volt stun gum with 4 miliamps
will not.

Should look at the discussion from the beginning Nareed. Paco had indicated the heater was USB (5v). Maybe you forgot I am an electrician it is quite possible I know the difference.

My brother in law is Canadian,
Moose Jaw. He talks a lot about
snow and moose. Try and avoid
him.

It looks like I am an idiot. There are blankets powered by USB connections, but that 200W mini heater is actually plugged into a regular outlet.

I knew there was a reason you were pointing that out, just not sure what it was... thinking about it, 200W from a USB port would be 40amps for about two milliseconds and a blown fuse.

As I said, I am the idiot.

I was looking at little fans and heated blankets that were all powered by USB ports. I also knew that about 3 years ago they were talking about USB ports that could handle 100 Watts in an effort to eliminate power cords.

I mistakenly assumed that this 200W heater was a next generation, but it actually just plugs into a normal socket.
