Just read a funny story about a CryptoCruise in the
last 10 days. A cruise ship full of crypto investors.
When they sailed the price of Bitcoin was $15K,
when they returned it was just under $10K.
Magical.. lol

So it's stuck now around $12K and everybody
is jittery. The Bitcoin people are saying it's 'exciting',
the Bitcoin buyers are suicidal. Some are saying
Bitcoin is done, others say it will hit $100K in
5 years. Love them pyramid schemes..

My second son, the computer kid, says he expects it to be $100k when in 4 years it becomes much more difficult to mine a new one. He owns 1/2 of one. I told him to sell 1/4 when it was around 20k, and 'free-roll' the other 1/4. I loved his answer. He said the $5k he put in might go to zero, but since he expects it to continue going up, and substantially when the "mining change" thing happens, why would he sell now? He decided his risk tolerance was that $5k, and he is in for the long run.

I think so. But he is left of ams! I can at least say I raised him to think for himself.

Some expect it to go to half
a million. They also were convinced
Hillary would win and Obamacare
would save us all..

All 1465 Crypto-currencies: went from a market cap of $833 billion on 7 January to $556 billion today (21 January).

So that is almost $300 billion to leave crypto- currencies in two weeks.

There is no PE ratio or anything else to base an expectation on. You might say there is mathematical basis for an Expected Value. So all speculation is based on emotion.

I've posted about this before but it was an imaginary $300 billion that disappeared. So nothing really disappeared because all Cyrpto currencies are based on nothing, literally. It would be like me declaring the $15,140 in play money in my Monopoly set was worth face value in US dollars, auctioning it on Ebay and getting $1, and declaring $15139 as wealth that disappeared.
