That, and hyperbola intersect the cone is two cones that meet at their point, and the hyperbola intersects both of them.

cos^2+sin^2=1
cosh^2-sinh^2=1

where
2*cosh(x)=exp(ix) +exp(-ix)
2*sinh(x)= exp(ix) - exp(-ix)

d ( sin(t) )/dt = cos(t)
d ( cos(t) )/dt = -sin(t)

d ( sinh(t) )/dt = cosh(t)
d ( cosh(t) )/dt = sinh(t)

Price of Ethereum is $1K vs Bitcoin $9K but there are about 6 times as many Ethereum coins so market capitalization of Bitcoin is only 50% higher than Ethereum.
Bitcoin $9,242.42*(16,838,975 BTC)=$155,632,879,320
Ethereum $1,055.24*(97,347,133 ETH)=$102,724,588,494

Ethereum is probably going to take number one spot in market capitalization. ETH is far superior product to BTC. It is possible that once Bitcoin is no longer the top dog that it will plunge very rapidly in value as it becomes the A&P or Sears of crypto currencies.

Great old picture. My first thought is
hold your nose, if you were there
all you would smell is BO from people
who only bathed a couple times a
month and wore the same clothes
for days at a time.

Just checked and BC has fallen under
$9K. The TwinkleToes Twins are drawing
lots to see who jumps from the GG Bridge
first..

I doubt they are ever going to be poor. They probably diversified enough by now. But they may lose their billionaire status.

All of the crypto's seem to be crashing at once.

They were billionaires before BC. I just
read that at least 50 new crypto's are
expected this year. They call them 'forks',
like a fork in the road that veers off in
another direction. Just scammers with
get rich schemes..

Holy crap, down to $8500, dropped 500
in half an hour..

I sold 0.4 BTC in summer of 2014 when BTC was at $600 thinking that the previous high of over $1000 was the end of a novelty boom. It stayed below $1000 until January 2017.

Now it's back to 9200, it's crazy. I
wouldn't touch this stuff with a
50 ft pole..

I said over and over last year that the crash was coming. Before the question was how high would it get before the crash. Now the question is how low will it get?
