Uh huh.. "HD28 is a red district in a county, Fort Bend, that has been trending blue. Hillary Clinton won it over Donald Trump 51-44 in 2016" https://pjmedia.com/election/bellwether-to-blowout-texas-house-district-gets-redder-to-lead-off-2020-elections/ If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

So Bob was off by a tad..... But.... HIS POINT is made! Trump won by 10. Cruz by 3. And this election the Republican wins by 16! And reading the article, the Democrats poured big bucks and big endorsements into this particular election. So if you want to make fun of Bob for getting the facts wrong, do so... but feel free to ignore the POINT that the district voted FAR more Republican than the previous elections. |

I'll do you a good one and respond to your posts while you ignore mine when the facts aren't convenient for your argument. I'm still waiting for you to tell me why Geoffrey Pyatt is still employed in the Trump administration after overseeing a Ukraine corrupt foreign policy under Obama. I've asked the question at least 3 times in direct response to your "Trump did nothing wrong" posts but have yet to receive a reply. I don't know of any CEO that would retain the services of somebody who oversaw corruption in their previous position. Unless, of course, that CEO was also corrupt. Or, unless, of course, that individual did nothing wrong and there was no previous corruption (the reality). Anyway, where did I make fun of him? I simply pointed out that it was a lie. And then he just doubled down on the lie. He's citing the numbers from the Fort Bend county which includes HD's 26, 27, 28, and 85. He is NOT citing the numbers from JUST HD-28, which Donald Trump won by 10 points in 2016. Now, I can understand if his source, PJ Media, got it wrong, as an accident. Or, they could be intentionally misleading its readers. https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/pj-media/ I report, you decide. Only EB can decide for himself if he likes being misled. He's a Trump supporter, so I think I know the answer to this one. |

You're being misled, my source was correct. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I didn't get the facts wrong, I posted the link. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Tripdufan Member since: Oct 3, 2019 Threads: 0 Posts: 710 | "Two years earlier, Zerwas was unopposed, and Donald Trump, at the top of the ballot, beat Hillary Clinton by 10 percentage points in the district. House District 28 has belonged to the Republicans for a while now. But that district is a subset of Fort Bend County, a once-Republican stronghold that has turned Democratic. While Trump won in HD-28 and this is where a lot of the current Democratic enthusiasm found its root Clinton won by a healthy margin in greater Fort Bend County. Other Republicans outperformed the president that year, but not by enough to make their Fort Bend results comfortable." https://www.texastribune.org/2020/01/24/texas-red-blue-shift-tested-house-district-28-special-election/ https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/480434-republican-wins-texas-special-election You're citing numbers for the entire Fort Bend county and not just HD-28. Yes, Hillary won Fort Bend, but that includes 3 other districts. Trump won HD-28 by 10 points. |

There you go, I knew you'd get there. Good job. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

IT WAS NOT IN A DISTRICT THAT HILLARY WON IN 2016. Trump won HD-28 by 10 points in 2016. Get it? You were lied to, or you misinterpreted what you read, or you KNEW what you read and intentionally tried to mislead the board. Pick one. |
