So it’s just like the Trump White House. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Didn't sound inventive to me, just massively overused for no apparent reason. Ever been around people who use the F word that much? Invariably, they are low class uneducated morons. You never go into an office of professionals and hear them use that word a lot, usually not even once. If my lawyer or my doctor or my accountant were to use the F word, I would seriously question their judgment and look into getting another professional. I use the word in private a lot, usually when I'm talking to my animals or to my brother or to myself. I never use it with my wife, or in public. Never. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

petroglyph Member since: Aug 3, 2014 Threads: 25 Posts: 6227 | I always think of Eddie Murphy when this topic comes up. I really liked him back in the SNL days and for awhile after. Then his comedy act to just a stream of profanity, like several comics do. After about 5 or 10 bombs it's not funny, and there isn't any shock value like back in the Lenny Bruce days. I quit orbiting towards his material when it became almost the basis of his act. In an hour act, just profanity is taking up minutes. They should be able to create funny material if he's a comedian. .02 The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. GW |

Then he should run in the Democratic primary, as Trump did the Republican one.
There is absolutely no doubt that he was a spoiler in that election. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

He would just get lost amid a sea of calls for socialism and Trump hate. As an indie he will get more attention and have every stage to himself. Not to mention the Democrat Party has hung out a sign saying "Straight White Males Need Not Apply." The President is a fink. |

Trump did start to run as an independent in 2000. It's not clear what would have happened in Florida if both Trump and Nader ran. The possibility that we seldom think about is that Schultz may think he could actually win the Presidency as an Independent. There are a lot of Americans upset with both parties. Teddy Roosevelt badly trounced his hand-picked Republican successor, Taft - but I have no doubt that he thought he could beat Wilson.
