Power, or more accurately its illusion, is the bane of humanity including religion. Humble service and love of truth and humanity is what Christianity should love, at least if they follow their Savior. In regards to hell not being real or that evil is not real, well that is beyond obvious. We need to be saved from the lust for power and the violence and injustice it causes. The only way to be free of these sins is to embrace the love of the real and humble Savior of the world, Jesus Christ. The Church had that nailed from the gitgo. Once it had the power of Rome behind it, Xtionity was unstoppable. It bulldozed everything in it's path with brute force. It's spread had nothing to do with what it preached, it was all about the greed and egos of the men in charge. It still is to this day. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
