Learned it from an old German woman, she called it "grout bert"? Or something close. But the filling was made separate, and now I use those rolls that come in a tube that you bust open, and there are 8 or so inside/ Roll them out and put a handful of filling in the middle, then close them up and bake according to directions. They are delicious and like little enclosed German hamburglers, good for travel and so forth. Good thread Bob. The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. GW |

I'll sell you an "h" for a bite of your Shepherd's Pie! I finally bought a grill. In an amazing feat of engineering I was able to hook everything up! Did 4 hot dogs as a test run. Perfectly cooked with just a tad of char on the outside. Tomorrow we have a social distancing BBQ. Sausage and beef skewers on tap. |
