I think I had him on my 2019 Deadpool list.

Since this is Deadpool this might be a hijack, but what does "natural causes' mean? Coronavirus? Lion attack? Lung cancer? Liver failure? Heart attack?

I took it to mean not coronavirus.

Just an observation about this thread during Covid. It doesn't seem to have had much if any increase in posts. Maybe the Covid deaths aren't as huge in the scale of deaths in the US that many seem to think?

It depends what you mean by "that many seem to think". The scale will assuredly be over 100,000 additional deaths. Compared to zero COVID-19 deaths last year. Coincidentally, I know a strikingly high number of people that will have died already this year, none due to COVID-19. Mostly elderly relatives. I can tell by the number of times my wife has been sending flowers. None famous enough to make this thread....

I am so fortunate at 54 years old. No one close to me has ever died. The closest would be a college roomate from 30 years ago who I hadn't seen or talked to in close to 30 years.

Well, I just heard a statement that the median age of death from the china virus is greater than the median age of life expectancy. Take that for whatever you want.

I am not arguing that there wont be 100,000+ deaths from Covid, likely over the years many times that number. It is just not that big a deal in the overall scale of things. Currently 1 in 4000 people have died in the US from Covid but the population has been scared so much by the government that they will phone the police if someone gets to close to them. This is insane. The current death rate (excluding Covid) is about 9,000 per million annually. The current Covid death rate to date is 244 per million. If we multiply this number by 10 for an annual rate it is 2,440 per million, this equates to 1 in 410 people or 850,000 deaths in the US.

So that means on average you will lose 1 in 400 of your friends from Covid even at my hopefully high number.
