I have Directv with 6 receivers and I think it just went up to $124 a month. I probably don't need all 6 receivers but I am too lazy to move them from room to room. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

My parents pay $145/month for cable TV with no commercial free stations. Are you paying for individual movies? Do you have one very expensive Live TV service? |

Gandler Member since: Aug 15, 2019 Threads: 27 Posts: 4256 | I honestly have not heard of over 90% of those. I have Amazon, Netflix, and HBO (I have no idea what the difference between HBO Max and HBO Now is....) And, I have Youtube Red (which I don't think is on there).... There are simply becoming too many... Subscribing to all would cost more than all of my utilities combined... Soon traditional Cable will be replaced with digital streaming where you have to subscribe to each service that you want.... |

HBO Max is replacing HBO Now as of May 27th. It will include some Live TV gathered from TBS and TNT. HBO Max is meant to mimic CineMax which is also owned by AT&T. John Stankey: AT&T’s SVOD and Linear TV Platforms to ‘Become One’ in Future: May 13, 2020 "HBO GO" is a service only for people who have HBO from a cable company. "Youtube Premium" formerly "YouTube Red", was launched as "Music Key". |

This is probably a sports move as TNT broadcasts a lot on NBA games Right now I cut the cord and not missing cable because no sports As sports comes back, I will have to revaluate my streaming choices so I don't miss live sports that interests me Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

Sports is the whole reason I haven't cut the cord. I would say before this pandemic 90% of my video viewing was sports. More than 90% during college football season. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

Yes, we have Hulu Streaming Cable + No commercial package which like $65/month. I would drop the streaming cable but my fiancé likes it. Other than that, I have - Netflix 4K plan with extra screens - Amazon Prime - HBO - Disney+ -History Channel Vault -Apple TV (got it free for 1 or 2 years) I will periodically cancel Disney+ and History Channel Vault when there’s nothing I want to watch Sometimes I will rent individual movies on Amazon or Vudu |
