I tend to agree. TerapinEd had totally flipped the meaning of the quote where he trimmed the admission of sarcasm.

For now, let's apply a warning to TE that this was unacceptable. I'm not inclined to suspend at this time. But next time would be dealt with harshly.

Since you're fine with it, this seems classic misquoting to me, especially by leaving off the "not really." Three days.

You never complained when Donny forced his secret service into an air tight vehicle to take him on a joy ride in front of Walter Reed only a day or two after his dumb ass nearly DIED from Covid.

So this criticism feels…. hypocritical, at best.

Aside from what you think of the senator or issue, I can understand why constituents get frustrated knowing regardless of the party they in are often just a dim blip on a radar screen to the politician. I'm sure there are average joe's or jane's on the Republican side who'd love to get 5 minutes with McConnel and give him a what for. The squeaky wheel gets the grease...etc., You don't get noticed unless you squeak a lot or carry the weight of many or money.
