I disagree. Not that there is any value to it other than it helps YOU to articulate your own positions and analyze and weigh them against counter-veiling arguments. Never argue politics or religion hoping to change someone's mind; rather do it for self-understanding and of course to try to make those who disagree with you look foolish. |

Today the wife asked if it was busy at Safeway, the shopper said they had plenty of shoppers but only two checkout lines, they can't get workers who will work the check out counters. He said, "nobody wants to work". This isn't good if people won't fill these decent jobs. I believe Safeway here pays union scale and benefits, plus whatever the new wages are. I think range from 9-22 dollars per. That's not huge, but it's nothing when it includes bennies. You know what will happen when "they" decide they want more workers. The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. GW |
