I pretty much only know him as the dad from Beethoven. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Saw the talk show listed, never watched, they are not my thing. He made "Midnight Run" though. Just how he annoyed DiNero was masterful. The President is a fink. |

Never saw the show, only trailers for it. I had a very low barf factor in those days. Remember him from Mary Tyler Moore. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Love Boat, Love American Style were pretty much the same idea. I'd probably throw Fantasy Island in there too. "The plane! The plane!" You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

They all had a formula. 4 guest stars. Usually 2 were old Hollywood Royalty and 2 were new stars they wanted to give push. 2 arcs for those 4 and 1 arc for the show regular stars. Simple but it worked in dem days. The President is a fink. |

In the old days Pursers were in charge of all money handling and were considered officers. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

It was TV at its worst. Ridiculous melodrama starring the same people over and over. Writing for the shows you would have to be drunk half the time just tonumb the sheer boredom of it. And these shows were on for years spewing they're sugar coated nonsense. My dad was in his sixties and seventies when these shows were on and he loved them. Maybe he was the target audience. Him and divorced fat women who couldn't get off the couch. I couldn't see any man younger than 50 watching this garbage. I would cringe just hearing the theme songs. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I thought it was an Aaron Spelling production, and sure enough. Not sure, but Hart to Hart might be the only show I would watch again. But even there, I’m not sure until I watched a few episodes. Just seems like it wasn’t too bad when I saw some episodes years ago. Aaron Spelling (April 22, 1923 – June 23, 2006) was an American film and television producer and occasional actor.[1] His productions included the TV series Family (1976–1980), Charlie's Angels (1976–1981), The Love Boat (1977–1986), Hart to Hart (1979–1984), Dynasty (1981–1989), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990–2000), Melrose Place (1992–1999), 7th Heaven (1996–2007), and Charmed (1998–2006). He also served as producer of Mod Squad (1968–1973), The Rookies (1972–1976), and Sunset Beach (1997–1999). You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |
