A buddy of mine recently sold his home in NW Portland and moved to Las Vegas (he doesn't gamble).

Found a shared housing arrangement in Summereland Sun City.

He got tired of the libtards running amuck in stumptown and also is seeking a dry climate.

Spanish works just fine in Spain, .

What is amusing is you think the argument is about the usefulness and legitimacy of Spanish. It's not. It's about English versus Spanish and English will win every time because you can say more things in English by far then you can in Spanish. It's really that simple. And the fact that English is the major language in the world now taught in schools in every first world country. It's mandatory. What does that tell you, mister lawyer.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

English may be a "superior" language in the minds of many people; so what?

That's not what I was focusing my argument on at all.

I said Spanish may take over English as the predominant language here someday, and you used that as an opening to make some weird, off subject argument about English being a better language.

Who cares which is better?

Wikipedia says it’s possible to count the number of entries in a dictionary, but it’s not possible to count the number of words in a language:

Language Words in the Dictionary
Korean 1,100,373
Japanese 500,000
Italian 260,000
English 171,476
Russian 150,000
Spanish 93,000
Chinese 85,568

This is 10 years old but still relevant. I had no idea that Oregon was the spiritual home of the meth problem. I would have guessed CA. Note how they said how much crime was driven by meth addiction. Now they are about to decriminalize most drugs. Blue state memories are so short.

Oregon Governor stealthily signs bill ELIMINATING need for demonstrating math or reading proficiency to graduate from High School. You know why of course…. Because it was ‘discriminatory’ against people of color…

I am probably okay with the kids not having to learn math beyond the basic multiplication and division. But I think reading is necessary for everyone at least at a high school level.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent.
