'Total spending on fuel subsidies topped $7 trillion in 2022, IMF says'

Kind of hard to believe.

GDP of Japan only about $5 trillion
KSA oil revenue about $350 billion
All OPEC oil revenue about $1 trillion
All oil production (based on OPEC about 40% market share) about $2.5 trillion

So....$7 trillion in subsidies?

Nope.
The President is a fink.

It's a fraction of that amount.

According to the IMF, the US spent more than $650 billion in energy subsidies in 2022.

According to the independent EIA, the US spent $29 billion on energy subsidies in 2022.

'During FY 2016–22, nearly half (46%) of federal energy subsidies were associated with renewable energy, and 35% were associated with energy end uses.'

"Natural gas and petroleum-related subsidies became a net cost to the federal government. Natural gas and petroleum-related tax expenditures increased to $2.1 billion in FY 2022 to reverse a trend from an estimated revenue inflow (versus a positive tax expenditure) of $1.1 billion in FY 2016 and FY 2017; combined, these tax provisions had been, in aggregate, the largest energy-related, revenue-generating tax provisions to the government in any of the fiscal years covered in this report"

It's subsidies for all fossil fuels. You better quit while you're behind.

That data is provided by the states to attract business investment. Likely not accurate.

The SAT scores are a more reliable indicator of school quality. When those kids take the SAT's, MA with only 55% participation, drops to number 9 for average total score among states with 48% or more of their students participating.

My numbers still hold up. $7 trillion makes no sense. You are so far behind you think you are in the lead.

This is a perfect example of thinking for yourself. You are saying that because the IMF says it then it has to be true. I look at the numbers and critically think and see the number is impossible.

Meanwhile there is a push to get rid of SAT scores because no matter how much they fool with things the same groups keep doing not as well on them.

BTW: If you took the SAT pre-mid 1990s you cannot compare your score to today because of all this. I'd estimate add 150 or so to your score and that is what you would get today.

I read that even with a perfect SAT score only 10% get admitted to Harvard.

That same site has MA as the best educated state in the country. You argue best when you argue my point.
