What's so sad about it?

They were living in squalor in third world countries where they didn't have running water or toilets.

Now, they're living in luxury hotels in Manhattan, where they are guaranteed by law, free housing, free medical care, free education, and free food - for life.

So far, 9,700 have arrived from Texas, and a hundred or so from Florida. Biden sent the other 82,000 by air and land. Texas and Florida didn't send them here. They accepted a free ride. They were given a choice. Stay in Texas and Florida and fend for yourselves, or hop the free bus to NYC where you will never have to work another day in your life.

The people in NYC love the migrants. They want this. Biden promised to open the borders and got 76% of their vote.

An added benefit to all this is the tremendous upward pressure on rents. Up 10% every year since Biden took office. Trump never did anything like this for the landlords. During his term, rents were flat. Biden is a freaking goldmine.

Move to Florida, Tanko. We literally have swamps here, and two swamp leaders Trump and DeSantis. We have stand your ground, and you don’t need a concealed permit to carry. You can probably shoot illegal aliens coming in by boat and get away with it. The gov has given the death penalty to woke, trying to strangle Micky Mouse, We’re pushing the gay and the trans out of schools, and stupid “Florida Man” is legend here. With all the sun there are literally the reddest of necks. We got whole communities of grumpy old people bitchen about America going to hell in a handbasket.

It’s red state paradise.

then the city re-opened the Roosevelt Hotel as a shelter - it had been closed for 3 years
but there's no more room for them and they are being asked to leave the city if possible
now many are living on the street outside the Roosevelt Hotel as shown in the pic

Biden did that.

With Biden sending 1,200 illegals here every week, the hotels are saturated and so are the shelters, since homelessness is up 18% this year, on top of everything else.

The city will ship them anywhere they want to go. The overwhelming majority elect to stay. Adams next plan is to find room for them in the outer boroughs.

It will not end for at least five and possibly nine more years. Whoever the democrat president is in 2025 will continue the policy.
