from the article:

"homelessness (throughout the entire country - not just NYC) increased every year that President Trump was in office, after declining almost every year since 2007, under both Republican and Democratic Administrations.

According to that 2021 article:

'A report published last week by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) estimated that 580,466 people experienced homelessness last year, which amounts to a 2.2 annual increase, and a 5.5 percent increase in the measure since 2016.'

5.5% over four years.

This is from a recent Crain's New York article:

'The number of homeless families in the city jumped 66% this year'

It is behind a paywall, but turning off cookies might make it readable.

Chicago +82%, NYC +66%, Fort Worth +55%, D.C + 30%

These are the numbers for a single year. Not four.

'The situation is likely even more grim than the numbers show: so-called point-in-time samples often are a significant undercount, and cities including San Francisco and Seattle—which have dire homeless crises—were excluded from the analysis because they only counted the number of people in their shelters this year.'

NYC is now loading migrants on buses and sending them to Buffalo! Apparently 4 busloads so far. I’m sure none of those migrants were coerced into getting on those buses. A friend’s daughter is involved in coordinating services for these migrants. He told me she is being paid gobs of $$ in OT to handle the myriad of issues these people are facing. The cost of the hotel rooms is just the tip of the iceberg. Supposedly NYC is paying Erie County a fee for each migrant bused here. My daughter in law teaches ESL. More job security for her….

Many of these bused migrants are from the Congo initially. I’m sure they are coming to Buffalo for the weather…..

Bloomberg used to pay the homeless to leave the city.

After he left office, the democrats turned homelessness into a multi-million dollar cash cow for their political supporters.

The city has a Department of Homeless Services, which has always handled the homeless problem, but instead, the city pays 'Win', the largest provider of shelter for the homeless, more than $100 million dollars annually, to do what it is already paying the Department of Homeless Services to do.

Win is headed by Christine Quinn, the former Democrat City Council president.

The political patronage mill, Win, also manages the shelters for the tens of thousands of illegals entering the city every year.

No matter where in the state, the city houses the migrants, Win is paid to manage their shelter.

The more people who become homeless and the more migrants Biden sends here, the more money the democrat political operatives who run Win pay themselves.

$663 billion in 2023
$745 billion in 2024

The world is on fire (metaphorically AND literally). Ain’t no one got time to worry about the damn deficit.

Proving once again that the human brain doesn't fully develop until after the age of 40.
