20,000,000 people in NY, and 3,000 deaths per year.

That' 3,000/20,000,000 = 1/6666

If you are a first aider, Cop, Social worker, etc, then you might encounter drug overdoses quite often, but 'Everybody?!?'

Besides, wading in to administer 'first aid' response on the off chance it's an opiod OD would seem a good way of getting your ass sued or worse.

Here's what Naloxone.org.uk says
"Who should carry naloxone?
Anyone who is in situation where they may be with, or find someone who has had an overdose of opiates. This can include drugs workers, hostel workers, the police, family members but most importantly people who use drugs (PWUD). PWUD are the most likely group to be there when someone overdoses and as such become first responders."

Not everybody! That's just overkill. Is that commissioner jaded in his experiences or maybe he holds a lot of shares in Big Pharma? Or his definition of 'everyone' is different to ours?

Of course, Pelosi is in California paying her respects to another Congressional fossil who finally died. With luck, Pelosi will join her in whatever comes after this. Well, we can certainly hope.

Not that they weren't dead either way, but it sure must be nice for those passengers killed on Flight 93 to have diverted that aircraft from the Capitol so that we could have Congress resort to this level of pettiness.
