Quote: Meeting scene season #3

Scene: A coffee shop.
Sheldon: In a few minutes, when I gloat over the failure of this enterprise, how would you prefer I do it? The standard I told you so? The classic neener-neener? Or just my normal look of haughty derision?
Raj: You don’t know we’re wrong yet.
Sheldon: Haughty derision it is.
Amy: Excuse me. I’m Amy Farrah Fowler. You’re Sheldon Cooper.
Sheldon: Hello, Amy Farrah Fowler. I’m sorry to inform you that you have been taken in by unsupportable mathematics designed to prey on the gullible and the lonely. Additionally, I’m being blackmailed with a hidden dirty sock.
Amy: If that was slang, I’m unfamiliar with it. If it was literal, I share your aversion to soiled hosiery. In any case, I’m here because my mother and I have agreed that I will date at least once a year.
Sheldon: Interesting. My mother and I have the same agreement about church.
Amy: I don’t object to the concept of a deity, but I’m baffled by the notion of one that takes attendance.
Sheldon: Well, then you might want to avoid East Texas.
Amy: Noted. Now, before this goes any further, you should know that all forms of physical contact up to and including coitus are off the table.
Sheldon: May I buy you a beverage?
Amy: Tepid water, please.
Howard: Good God, what have we done?

That's funny. Too bad the show stopped
being funny around season 6. Except
here and there, like the casino scene.

I think the wedding episode will give it some new life, temporarily. I am hoping to see lots of characters from Young Sheldon. It would be nice to see adult Missy again.

In three days, the chubby kid from Stand by Me (1986) is going to play the adult George (Sheldon's brother) in two episodes

Courtney will be back for only one episode

Now that there are 22 episodes of Young Sheldon, they can start feeding plot lines from the prequel into TBBT instead of just the other way around.

Of CBS shows that were renewed from last year, the only two that are increasing viewership follow TBBT on Thursday night.

+16.82% Mom (renewed)
+7.30% Life in Pieces
-0.02% The Big Bang Theory (renewed)
-1.91% Elementary
-2.71% Hawaii Five-0 (renewed)
-5.77% Code Black
-7.22% Bull (renewed)
-7.71% Man With a Plan
-7.73% NCIS: New Orleans (renewed)
-10.76% MacGyver (renewed)
-10.99% NCIS (renewed)
-12.86% Blue Bloods (renewed)
-15.99% Kevin Can Wait
-17.78% Superior Donuts
-21.46% NCIS: Los Angeles (renewed)
-23.25% Criminal Minds
-23.67% Ransom
-25.33% Madam Secretary (renewed)

Bull is the highest rated show that is no losing viewers at too high a rate.

Of the eight new shows, four have already been cancelled and only Young Sheldon is a hit.

Millions of Viewers
12.561 Young Sheldon (renewed)
8.009 Instinct
6.971 Wisdom of the Crowd (cancelled)
6.754 SEAL Team (renewed)
5.948 SWAT (renewed)
5.293 9JKL (cancelled)
4.962 Me, Myself & I (cancelled)
4.208 Living Biblically (cancelled)

So while the $5.3 million combined salary of the seven principals, and total production costs over $10 million per episode seems like a lot compared to roughly $3 million in advertising revenue, to a big extent most of CBS success on the air is tied to the show.

While Instinct has a promising start, it has already lost 30% of it's audience by the 5th episode.

If Young Sheldon is still the biggest hit show less than five years old next year, I think they will pay TBBT actors almost anything to return.

We finally meet the adult George Cooper. I have to say I miss some of the edginess hat was in Two and a Half Men in the final season. The writers don't want to veer to far away from sweetness in TBBT.

I didn't know THAT was on this Young Sheldon; I think I'll start watching it, perhaps with the sound off.

Well, the 11-year-old version of that.

Is it public what type of residuals the cast get from reruns of the show?
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent.
