It appears that kenarman is privy to details of the as-yet unreleased affidavit!

The fact that a fishing expedition is illegal doesn't matter to you because it was Trump. The US has become just another banana republic when it ignores the law to attack a political opponent. The country you live in is no longer a democracy. Not because Trump is no longer president but because the law is no longer being followed. What will happen next is the dripping tap of 'new information' from now until after elections, a political process not a legal process.

Okay let's say you had government documents for over a year that you were supposed to turn back into the government. That's all you have to do.

Now give me a good excuse why you are a victim when they finally come get them? If you are as irresponsible as Donald Trump, just say so.

Your premise is all wrong. It was not a fishing expedition. Just because you keep saying so doesn’t make it true.

I support criminals being investigated for their (obvious, blatant) crimes.

When you do a search and grab things that aren't within the scope of the warrant that is illegal, like for example passports. He had given back what they asked for and made the storage more secure as they asked for. He was fully cooperating with them. The only reason for the over the top late night raid was politics.

Apparently not. They are legally allowed to take documents and send back later what they don't need. Which is what they did with the passports.
