This Newsweek link breaks down gun deaths and shows that Kenarman's post about Democrats being more responsible is false.

Newsweek did a detailed analysis using FBI data and found that only four Democratic States and the District of Columbia ranked among the top 20 legislatures with the highest firearm murder rate.

When Republican Jim Jordan jabbed at Alvin Bragg about crime in NYC an aide to Bragg shot back that Columbus, Ohio which is near the District that Jordan represents has a much higher murder rate - 15.4 homicides per 100,000 people than NYC in 2022 - 5.1 homicides per 100,000 people - see link.

A google search of "FBI says Democrats more responsible for mass shootings" came up empty.

I did find an FBI study though - see link. The FBI states that these are the 5 locations in 2021 that had the most active shooter incidents - Phoenix, Arizona; Boulder, Colorado; Indianapolis, Indiana; Colterville, Tennessee; and Oxford, Michigan. No mention at all of more mass shootings or general shootings occurring from Democrats.

Kenarman's post is a blatant falsehood.

And yet most gun violence is committed by Democrats.

Can't go by party because many are not registered politically, such as felons not being able to vote.

But I agree with your sentiment.

SUCKER!

You read about a "mass shooting" and think that is the gun violence. Meanwhile in 2022 Chicago had about 7 shootings a day per their police department. Now, that should not be possible because Chicago has strong gun laws, but a simple google search showed that number.

SUCKER!

Keep thinking random violence in one place is the problem when regular violence happens elsewhere. It is what they want you to think.

The paper evaluates the relationship of marijuana and violence (to blue states).

I don't think marijuana is the cause of violence (such as the cause for gun killings).

Just that the mentality of users show up at the same place as the political majority.

For example, the cause of violence could be insecurity (not valuing self enough) and those persons might use marijuana more often.

Consider Oregon and Washington states that legalized marijuana early, historically.

Check their major cities going down.

Of course the marijuana didn't cause their issues.

They just occur at the same place because of their mentality.

Marijuana Is More Dangerous Than You Think

2019 Mar-Apr
.
.
.
A 2012 paper in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence, examining a federal survey of more than 9,000 adolescents, found that marijuana use was associated with a doubling of domestic violence in the U.S. A 2017 paper in the journal Social Psychiatry and Psychiatric Epidemiology, examining drivers of violence among 6,000 British and Chinese men, found that drug use was linked to a fivefold increase in violence, and the drug used was nearly always cannabis.

Before states legalized recreational cannabis, advocates predicted that legalization would let police focus on hardened criminals rather than on marijuana smokers, and thus reduce violent crime. Some advocates even claim that legalization has reduced violent crime: In a 2017 speech calling for federal legalization, Sen. Cory Booker (D, NJ) said that “these states are seeing decreases in violent crime.”

But Mr. Booker is wrong. The first four states to legalize marijuana for recreational use were Colorado and Washington in 2014 and Alaska and Oregon in 2015. Combined, those four states had about 450 murders and 30,300 aggravated assaults in 2013. In 2017, they had almost 620 murders and 38,000 aggravated assaults—an increase far greater than the national average.

Exactly.

That's one way they control their voter mentality.

They're being scammed by deceiving info but the voters can't see it.

Meanwhile, voters in Chicago vote for a person more left than what they had.

Gosh, you'd think they'd figure it out the info is biased by now.

They even blame Walmart for closing shop.

They don't have an ability to look into the mirror.

Always blame others for their shortcomings.

The Federal Reserve + the Bank of Japan + the European Central Bank assets combined (see image below).

As you can clearly see, their combined low was Covid.

Then they injected trillions and trillions of fiat into the system thereby lowering purchasing power of existing dollars.

And it doesn't include China and other countries.

Here's the danger:

If they continue, interest rates will have to go up.

So the USA might owe $20T more in 10-20 years or so.

One of the only ways they can bring the interest expense down (almost $1T per year for the USA) is through an intentional recession (or depression).

They're kicking the can down the road.

Check the trajectory since 2008 low.

That is unsustainable.

They have to let her drop to get it inline.

That stat you quoted is misleading because Chicago has a very large population - the 3rd largest city in the U.S. with 2.69 million people.

In 2020 Chicago had 28.6 homicides for 100,000 people which made it 28th on the list of cities with a high homicide rate. Not good, but not even close to being the worst. 2 cities had a rate more than double that of Chicago, and Pine Bluff, Arkansas was almost double.

New York City has the 2nd strongest gun laws in the nation and it doesn't even appear on the link's list with just 5.5 homicides per 100,000 people.

Los Angeles also has very strong gun laws and reported just 5 homicides per 100,000 people in 2019.

St. Louis, Mo had 88.1

Petersburg, VA had 76.9

Pine Bluff, Ark had 56.5

New Orleans had 51.0

Baton Rouge, LA had 46.5

Memphis, TN had 44.4

and so on and so on

I assume that as usual you don't understand facts. My post is easily proven true using the most corrupt organization in the US, the FBI.

This is one blue city falling like a rock.

Obviously, the politicians have been receiving Federal funding to make their budgets.

Because there is no way firms will stay there to pay all the taxes while losing money.
