Beethoven Member since: Apr 27, 2014 Threads: 18 Posts: 640 | With so many ridiculous arguments used by supporters of gay marriage, I'm glad to see this guy throwing it back in their faces: Florida man demands right to wed computer I'd love to see this guy ultimately win. I hope he's persistent though and keeps filing legal challenges because libs dominate the courts. Boron Boron Boron rhymes with moron, moron, moron |

Since libs love changing definitions of words, then let's change the definition of "consent" so he can. Boron Boron Boron rhymes with moron, moron, moron |

No case for the computer and we don't recognize rights of things for their interests. If the computer was sentinent it would be rubber stamped. I would think if the computer was sentinent it wouldn't want to marry the man and just be friends. |

Changing definitions of words and "eliminating" words is right out of 1984. When you do this you limit the ability of people to find ways to express themselves, limit their ability to think. Imagine if say there was no word for "freedom." How would you then know such a thing even existed. Beware the word police. The President is a fink. |

Actually, being able to use words in a mutable set of ways, and not holding them to strict definitions is how people can freely express ideas, have conversations and give new ideas out. Constraint of words into a tight language mutes ideas, and restricts thoughts. Indeed, be aware of the word police. But we can go back to the 1828 definition then; MAR''RIAGE, n. [L.mas, maris.] The act of uniting a man and woman for life; wedlock; the legal union of a man and woman for life. Marriage is a contract both civil and religious, by which the parties engage to live together in mutual affection and fidelity, till death shall separate them. Marriage was instituted by God himself for the purpose of preventing the promiscuous intercourse of the sexes, for promoting domestic felicity, and for securing the maintenance and education of children. If we don't want to change what words mean. It is said that your life flashes before your eyes just before you die.... it's called Life |
