PC police may try to take down Mark Cuban next.

Mark Cuban is far more well known and is generally liked so he can probably survive. But I hope he refuses to "apologize" to this crowd.

He's got supporters. Ryan Clark and Antonio Pierce of espn had his back on NFL Live yesterday.

Ryan Clark is also of the Washington Redskins and thinks the team should change their name. Get rid of 'Washington' as it adversely portrays 'Redskins' ;-)

Donald Sterling Surrenders Control of Clippers to Shelly Sterling

Bold move. I hope she plays hardball with the NBA.

Donald Sterling tells NBA it has no basis to take Clippers from him

Glad to see that the old guy is getting the "fight" back in him.

My favorite part of the article:
Quote:
...the disparity between his lifetime ban and $2.5 million fine and previous NBA punishments, including the $100,000 fine levied on Kobe Bryant when he was caught referring to a referee by a homosexual slur, and the 72-game suspension of Ron Artest for punching a fan.
I love the fact that Sterling is pointing out the hypocrisy of the athletes and the fact that the NBA treated them with kid gloves.

News story said the Clippers will be sold to Ballmer for TWO BILLION DOLLARS!!!! I think before this mess started the Clippers were valued at a little over a billion dollars. So all the publicity netted Sterling hundreds of millions extra. He is brilliant..... (not really)

He sure played the NBA like a fiddle. Generate a ton of interest and able to sell his garage team in a garage league for a fortune.

Just saw story saying the team was sold to Ballmer for an estimated $2 Billion. The Sterlings really made out on this deal.

Ballmer probably could have saved several 100 million on this deal. But maybe he bid high to shut down scrambles by other bidders if he had only slightly overbid.

...a couple hundred million more or less, when you aren't spending it all anyway. Will never be missed.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

The question is how long until he breaks his promise not to move the team. The Clippers are perhaps the most unusual team in all of pro sports what with being in a huge market but so junior to the other team in the market that the name is nearly a one word definition for something you don't take seriously.

The second question is when the team is doing badly will they have to shut the arena down and start everything over?
